My parents are reading in my guest room, curled up with my cat. I’m cocooned in a cotton sweater. Today is Sunday, a day of tea drinking and strolls around the lake.
Today, it’s also a day of short story writing. I woke up at 8am, started typing, and stopped just now with a finished draft. Let this be a warning: Don’t read anthology Calls for Submissions on Saturdays. You WILL be inspired to ignore your guests on Sunday.
On the other hand, Hey! I finished my third short story of the Clarion West Write-a-thon. Considering that my pledged goal is 4 shorts and the beginnings of an outline, I’m now week’s ahead of the schedule I posted on my whiteboard.
